All disturbance is a wakeup call. To the extent we pick those times to avoid, postpone, or attempt to bend reality to our will, we will get sick, depressed, anxious, and we will hurt others.
Pain is the internal messenger alerting us to pause and step back from the drama of the situation and our own thoughts, and step toward empathic and constructive support.
Disturbances are calling for us to face them head on from a vantage point of clarity and calm.
